Richmond residents can use the  to submit an application for the current school year. After completing the registration form, a staff member will contact the parent(s)/legal guardian(s) by phone or email regarding next steps.

Kindergarten registration for the 2025/26 school year will open on November 1, 2024. Registration for Grades 1-12 will open on January 1, 2025. Please visit the kindergarten registration page or the Grades 1-12 registration page for more information.

All placements and transfers are subject to the following provisions:

• A student will normally attend the school located in the catchment area in which their parents or legal guardians reside unless there is no physical, resource or program space available.
• Currently, the above provision may need to be applied more frequently, potentially resulting in more students needing placement outside their catchment school.
